Los Angeles Show 2011: Subaru BRZ Concept

From Los Angeles we’re getting the first live photos of the new Subaru BRZ STI Concept

The Los Angeles Show has finally opened its doors and, as could only be expected, one of the vehicles that has generated the most excitement in recent weeks has made its appearance in the form of a concept, leaving the presentation of the model that will officially be available at all the Japanese brand’s dealerships for the Tokyo Show.

Specifically, what you see on screen is a Subaru BRZ dressed in STI trim, a more than interesting version whose performance will remain under wraps for now, although it has been revealed that the vehicle you see on screen will ultimately feature a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated boxer engine with direct injection.

As a curiosity, it’s worth noting that all the add-ons you see scattered across the bodywork, according to the Subaru itself, are fully functional, from the striking front splitter to the roof, all made from carbon fibre, which, on the other hand, helps to slightly reduce the overall weight of the car.

Finally, I can only tell you about its dimensions, which have been kept to 4,230 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,280 mm in height. For more details, we’ll have to wait for the unveiling of the production model at the Tokyo Motor Show, which opens its doors on 30 November.
