Lotus introduces a new special version designed to celebrate twenty years since the birth of the Lotus Elise. The Elise has lived through these two decades across two generations of the model, numerous variants, and several different mechanical combinations.

The new Lotus Elise 20th Anniversary special edition is based on the Lotus Elise S Club Racer, but with some changes that have led to a reduction in weight.

Some modifications have meant not only that the bodywork is made from composite material, but also that the mechanical components are such that the car weighs just 914 kilograms.

Under the bonnet, the engine is a 1.8 supercharged by a volumetric compressor, capable of delivering 220 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. This performance, together with the low weight and a six-speed manual gearbox, allows the Lotus Elise to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of up to 237 km/h.

On the other hand, the Hethel company will offer several standard accessories on the Lotus Elise 20th Anniversary. These will include ultra-lightweight leather or Alcantara seats, additional driving lights, and paintwork with some gloss black details.

In England, the price will be around £59,000.
