Lucid Air Beta, the electric car from Lucid Motors, ready for production
The American company is finalising work on the Lucid Air prototype and at the end of 2020 will begin producing the model in Casa Grande

Companies looking to specialise in fully electric cars are appearing more and more often, and their names are becoming increasingly well known. For example, over the last few years there has been talk of Lucid, which wants to compete with the absolute leader in high-end electric cars, Tesla, from its very own home.
And the fact is that Lucid is based in the state of California, so it competes from the same place. And while we were already talking some time ago about the development of its first electric model, the Lucid Air, we now know that it is already testing a model that has reached 95% development and is very close to the production version.

A beta engineering prototype of the Lucid Air was tested during November and was showcased at an event where it appeared in a very advanced form. A test in which it demonstrated what it will be once it goes into production and becomes a high-end electric car able to compete on equal terms with the models from Tesla.
The Lucid Air Beta prototypes have many design details from the Alfa series, although engineering has been refined considerably, offering a more advanced and improved version. It incorporates all the latest technological innovations, and the tests the car has undergone have allowed the battery and the drivetrain to be put through their paces.
The Lucid Air will be manufactured at the factory the company is building in Casa Grande, Arizona, but these prototypes have been entirely developed and built at Lucid’s headquarters in California. In this way they have been able to build the 80 bodies they worked on at the headquarters and work with them there.
The Casa Grande factory will be ready to begin production at the end of 2020 and will be able to begin marketing the model in early 2021, to the delight of customers who have shown interest in it.
