Manhart Formentor CP 500: an extra dose of radicalness for the sporty SUV from Martorell

For the first time in Manhart’s history, a CUPRA has joined its catalogue of new products. And it could be none other than the CUPRA Formentor VZ5, the most powerful version of the sporty SUV in the product range of the Martorell-based company, equipped with the popular five-cylinder engine of Audi origin.

The preparation carried out by the German tuner consists of a series of aesthetic details to give it a more special and exclusive look than the standard version of the model, as well as a modified ECU to increase its power by no less than 100 CV and maximum torque by 150 Nm.

Design elements suited to the brand

Starting with its design novelties, the Formentor modified by Manhart features a new vinyl kit which, instead of the gold colour the tuner usually uses in its creations, is bronze, a shade that is undoubtedly a identifying feature of the CUPRA brand.

In addition to the decorative set for the sporty SUV, the CP 500 adds Concave One wheels in 20 inches, finished in black and bronze, and a new suspension system signed by H&R that lowers the vehicle’s ride height to improve its aerodynamics and, in turn, its dynamic behaviour.

However, the most relevant novelty of this Manhart preparation lies in its performance section, which the tuner presents as a Stage 1 for the model, comprising an ECU developed specifically to increase its power to 490 CV and 630 Nm of engine torque, along with an exhaust system with electronically controlled valves.

The best is yet to come

As if that were not enough, Manhart has also announced that it will soon present a Stage 2 for this model which, in addition to a modified ECU, will also fit a larger intercooler and a high-performance intake system, allowing it to offer a power output above 500 CV.
