Maserati Ghibli Hybrid, the car that has won over actor Jaime Lorente

Major brands always want great ambassadors who can carry their image as far as possible. And actors are one option for this. The popular actor Jaime Lorente, known for his role in the series La casa de papel, in which he plays the charismatic Denver, has just met the Maserati Ghibli Hybrid Fenice, as the brand’s ambassador.

The Fenice special edition is a variant launched to celebrate the arrival of this mild hybrid version. It features a mild hybrid system, which provides a 48-volt system that powers the car’s electrical systems. Only 50 units of this special model have been built, intended for the international market. But be careful: in Europe, only 10 of them will be sold.

It is not known whether one of these units can still be found on the European market, since there is not even information about its price. It is believed that the price could be around 120,000 euros, but this is not known for certain. The car has been created for Chinese tastes, so we find details such as the infotainment system, which was developed together with the Chinese company Tencent.

This consists of a 10.1-inch multimedia screen that allows many of the console’s controls to be replaced by on-screen controls, clearing up interior space. The air conditioning is controlled by physical knobs below the screen, but little else is outside this system.

The engine of this variant is a turbocharged four-cylinder unit that delivers 330 CV and a maximum torque of 450 Nm, figures that are far from bad. In the video we can see the actor’s reaction when he saw the car and sat behind the wheel of a model with a great presence, which led him to say “Who’s got a Maserati now?“, a nod to one of his famous lines from the series.
