Maserati GranCabrio, GranTurismo convertible unveiled

We continue with news from the Frankfurt Motor Show, and this time the Italian brand has unveiled the Maserati GranCabrio. The convertible version of the GranTurismo becomes the first Maserati four-seater convertible and will feature a fabric roof.
It has a bold look, and the hand of Pininfarina is evident in the design. One of its strong points will be comfort, since it will offer good performance while never sacrificing comfort and the ability to drive with the top down and enjoy the scenery.
At the front, it features a 4.7-litre V8 engine producing 440 CV, a unit taken from the GranTurismo S. In the short term, a 4.2 V8 entry-level engine with 407 CV will also arrive. It will be shown in full detail at the Frankfurt Motor Show and will be available by spring 2010.
