The Mazda MX-5 is one of the most spectacular models from the brand and yet it can still be improved and turned into something even more desirable than it already is. At events like the SEMA, taking place in Las Vegas on 3 to 6 November, we will have the chance to see two versions of this popular Mazda model, the MX-5 Spyder and the MX-5 Speedster, two concepts that carry Japanese design forward.

The first of these models is not the only attempt to bring the Mazda MX-5 closer to a Spyder look. This time the MX-5 Spyder has sought to recover the most vintage style of this type of vehicle. To do so, it uses a Mercury Silver colour scheme, which gives it a more classic appearance without losing the sense of modernity the model has.

The interior has also been adapted to this elegant styling, respecting the image of a classic car while featuring a current and powerful design. Leather is present in many corners of this car, which has upholstery made specifically for this conversion. And not only in the seats, as there are also several details finished in leather to add a touch of style with this material.

The other version is an MX-5 that pays homage to the minimalist roadster of the 1950s. To build it, work has been done to lighten the car’s weight, seeking the best possible performance. The impression of lightness is enhanced thanks to the replacement of the windscreen with a more compact wind deflector, which serves the same purpose but helps create a lighter look.

Externally it presents a dynamic look, thanks to the blue paint that dresses the bodywork. It will weigh considerably less than the production model and can be seen at the brand’s stand at SEMA 2015. That event takes place in just a few days, so we will not be long in seeing a good selection of the models presented, in photo galleries.
