McLaren hints at a new GT ready to mark a before and after within the brand's lineup
McLaren wants to keep evolving, something it demonstrates with its upcoming GT, a model that has been hinted at in this teaser and that promises several new features.

The 2019 Geneva Motor Show is getting off to a strong start and, despite the important novelties on display, there are still brands with heavier artillery waiting behind the curtain. This is the current situation for McLaren which, despite attending its usual annual date in Switzerland, has not presented any vehicle on its stand. However, the British firm did not want to disappoint us and chose to wait until the buzz of the show had subsided to some extent before unveiling its next Grand Tourer, a completely new vehicle that was briefly hinted at in this intense video.
This is how McLaren intends to offer its customers the chance to combine comfort with sportiness, two aspects that will be emphasised in this GT. For now, few details are known about this model, but given that it is an official video from the brand and the competition lurking in the market, we can expect a presentation from McLaren very soon.
A new line within the McLaren family
The British firm aims to offer a new category within its range, with the goal of broadening its customer base and, at the same time, offering something different. In this way, McLaren is about to get involved in a segment that prioritises the comfort of its passengers without ever giving up sportiness, a formula applied in the 720S but which will be better reflected in this future GT.

At the same time, a new design language will be responsible for shaping this new offspring from Woking, one that has also been applied to one of its most radical models, the Speedstail. Despite the dense camouflage designed to keep us from noticing some of its details, we can make out a series of features that anticipate a new era for the brand.
Two slim front headlights anticipate a cleaner, more refined design for this GT, a sensation that is also perceived through the rear. This area is more obscured by the camouflage, a clear sign that it will present more noticeable changes; however, we also find lights that follow that same pattern together with a subtle ducktail-style spoiler that seeks to accentuate the McLaren DNA present in this mysterious model.

For now, official launch dates are unknown, but McLaren has already offered us a preview of what is coming in its range. With this premise, we will be witnesses to the evolution the firm intends to give its future models, which will be treated to a new design and an even more advanced and precise powertrain.
