McLaren Senna LM: Who needs more?

The new McLaren Senna LM has been spotted at MSO’s facilities and will be an even more radical take for the most non-conformist

Just a few days ago, it was quite a surprise to find online a new version we had not seen until now of the McLaren Senna. This one had an even more optimised presence for track use and wheels that recalled those fitted to the legendary McLaren F1.

Furthermore, we could see that it had the “LM” legend on the sills, so it is no surprise that we are looking at an even more radical version of the British hypercar.

McLaren remains under continuous development, and although it believes it is too early to produce an electric supercar, we have recently been able to see its latest creation: the McLaren Elva.

The British facilities of MSO –McLaren Special Operations– are a real goldmine of the most radical and spectacular novelties in the automotive industry. The latest news we have caught is the confirmation of what we saw last week.

From the leaked photo, we can see a McLaren Senna LM painted in the typical orange of the British brand. If we look closely, the car has part of its front left wing damaged, so it seems that this unit has been thoroughly tested on track.

There is already a McLaren Senna GTR at the top of the range. However, this variant is not registrable for road use, so it seems that the McLaren Senna LM will be the most radical version with which to go out and buy the bread.

As it could not be otherwise, the McLaren Senna LM will be a super-limited edition, as only 20 units will be produced. This figure is even smaller than the GTR, as only 75 units of the competition version were built.

The aesthetic differences compared to the standard McLaren Senna are not very numerous, but it must be taken into account that from its birth it was already an absolute madness. What we can appreciate is that the glass roof has been replaced by one in the same material as the rest of the bodywork, so it is probably made of carbon fibre.

As we said before, the 5-spoke wheels with central locking nut are also new. In addition, we also find an air intake above the cabin to aid ventilation inside it.

We do not know what McLaren Special Operations is planning to fit under the bonnet of the new McLaren Senna LM. However, it is quite possible that it shares the same mechanical block as the GTR, so it could feature a 4.0-litre V8 engine capable of delivering 825 CV and 800 Nm of maximum torque.

We will have to wait for the British firm to officially present the new McLaren Senna LM, a model that, despite being completely unnecessary, will sell out all the units produced before its launch.
