Under the bonnet, this beast does not disappoint. A 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo engine packs 415 CV of power and 500 Nm of torque. Yes, it’s no joke: these figures belong to a compact car, a hatchback like this one.

Just 15 years ago, the most extreme sports cars on the market reached 500 or 600 CV at most. It is impressive to think that this compact is so close to these figures, especially considering that it is, in theory, a city car. A city car with a very, very short fuse…

Not to mention the Ford Mustang EcoBoost, which has 100 CV less and cannot even dream of matching the monstrous acceleration of the 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds achieved by the German car.

The A45 S is even faster around the Hockenheimring GP circuit than the Mustang GT V8. It also beats the CLK 63 and the BMW M3 E90, and is, mark this fact, almost as quick as the Audi R8 V8…

In other cases we do not agree with the prices, but seeing what this monster is capable of doing, we understand them perfectly.
