Mercedes-Benz G 350d Brabus Adventure: unstoppable
The new Brabus Adventure kit takes the Mercedes-Benz G 350d to a new level, making it even more capable off the asphalt
Brabus has earned its reputation for launching the most radical upgrades on models from the Daimler Group, so every time the specialist announces something new, all enthusiasts rub their hands together in anticipation.
This new kit has nothing to do with the two Mercedes-AMG G63s that passed through Brabus’s hands a few months ago. The new Brabus Adventure package has arrived to enhance the off-road capabilities of the all-powerful Mercedes-Benz G-Class 350d with more ground clearance and improved performance.
At the front, the grille has been redesigned so that the large Brabus B takes center stage, as it deserves. The front bumper has also been modified, with two large air intakes at its ends and, above all, a massive winch emerging from the central section.
Looking up a little, we can see the new auxiliary lights fitted with the Brabus Adventure package. There are two at each end, mounted on a wind deflector so they don’t significantly affect the car’s aerodynamics. This appendage continues along the entire roof, making it ideal for carrying a ladder or a tent.
Another accessory is the new fender flares, which add no less than 10 centimetres of width to the already imposing dimensions of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. To complete the look, Brabus has fitted specific 20-inch wheels.
The Mercedes-Benz G 350d gains height and power with the Brabus Adventure package
The tuner has installed a new suspension system that has allowed the Mercedes-Benz G-Class to gain 40 millimetres of ground clearance. This is not the only mechanical improvement: the 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine of the G 350d has been reworked to increase its output by 43 CV and its torque by 60 Nm.
As a result, the power of the Mercedes-Benz G 350d with the Brabus Adventure package rises to 326 CV, delivering no less than 690 Nm of torque. With these figures, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 202 km/h. A new sport exhaust system with two outlets on each side has also been fitted.
The cabin has also received some updates, as the upholstery is specific with a new design on the central section of the seats featuring an arrowhead pattern. These dark tones are combined with white piping and white stitching.
So, if you are thinking about buying a Mercedes-Benz G-Class, the first thing is to encourage you to do it, and the second is to recommend this kit so that your brand-new off-roader becomes truly unstoppable. If that isn’t enough for you, the Brabus 850 6.0 Biturbo 4×4 will exceed your expectations.
