Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Renovatio, the latest masterpiece from Mansory

Gold it seems, silver it is already no longer…
I think this opportunistic play on words needs no explanation; quite simply, the guys at Mansory have put their good taste and imagination to work and have set about modifying the Mercedes SLR McLaren to turn the supercar into an even greater beast, and its silver-dated nickname into a vain memory hidden behind the golden reflections that the bodywork gives off.
As a welcome card, it comes with 700 horsepower, compared with the 626 of the standard car, gained through the increased output of the compressor and a new intercooler system; two essentials for turning a ¿simple? 5.5-litre V8 into a powerhouse like this.
Two tenths less in the 0-100 km/h sprint (it drops to 3 seconds), a brutal acceleration fed by the 880 Nm of torque at the crankshaft. Oh, and from there up to 340 kilometres per hour without breaking a sweat.
With its innards covered, let us move on to its outfit: a body kit made of carbon fibre that improves cooling and aerodynamics. Not for nothing, and from my point of view, it greatly enhances the aesthetics of the supercar, both at the front and with the prominent diffuser at the rear, while leaving numerous carbon fibre elements exposed that showcase its exotic charm.
Its shoes are another aspect worth observing: the front tyres are roughly 255/30 and the rear ones roughly 325/25, named Dunlop SP Sport Maxx and fitted to 20″ five-spoke wheels exclusive to this version.
The final distinction goes to the interior, where materials such as leather, aluminium and carbon abound, adorned by new lighting.
The number of zeros in the price is something unknown that we try not to imagine. I have only one question left to resolve… whether to keep this or the Hamann 599 GTB…
