While Mercedes-Benz was preparing the official unveiling of the new generation of the S-Class for 15 May 2013, the first photograph of the German brand’s flagship, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2014, has accidentally leaked.

The only image obtained shows the front of the new Mercedes-Benz luxury saloon. The front of the saloon is dominated by a more sporty grille, which improves airflow to the engine thanks to a larger size than on the current model. The LED headlights are teardrop-shaped.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2014 will feature a wide range of luxury options such as heated and ventilated seats, an entertainment system for the rear seats together with a system that filters, ionises and perfumes the air. In the rear seats of the long-wheelbase version, you will find seats with 10-way adjustment, a retractable footrest and, finally, trays in the purest Maybach style.

Mechanically, the new generation of the S-Class is expected to offer a 4.6-litre V8, a 5.5-litre V8 and, finally, among the petrol engines, a V12. Diesel engines will also arrive, with both six and eight cylinders, a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid. The release dates for the last two are still unknown.
