The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is ready. It will be officially unveiled at the NAIAS in January, and the brand is gradually revealing small details.

Just a day ago, a few-second video was released showing the main lines of the fourth generation (W205) of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Now it’s the turn of the interior, of which we already know many details thanks to these photographs provided by the brand. The overall design follows the lines of the company’s latest creations, with details reminiscent of the A-Class, GLA and S-Class. Thus, we find very fluid lines that completely break with the previous generation, which was always characterised by its interior full of edges and angular surfaces.

The instrumentation has been redesigned, as well as the steering wheel, adopting lighter and more youthful designs. The dashboard also changes, resembling more that of the family’s youngest members, thanks to an infotainment system controlled by a new Command and a screen of up to 8.4 inches. In the style of the A-Class and B-Class, the screen is not hidden, forming part of the lines of the cabin.

It inherits the intelligent climate control system from the S-Class, which uses GPS data to operate more efficiently. It will also feature a new system that detects the presence of a child in the front passenger seat, automatically deactivating the airbags. New audio systems signed by Burmester, intelligent seats and new colour combinations will also be offered.
