Mercedes-Benz Sprinter ambulance being prepared by Brabus: 5.5-litre V8 and all-wheel drive

Brabus is building a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter ambulance with a 5.5-litre V8 engine and all-wheel drive.

An ambulance is an emergency vehicle and, as such, should meet a series of requirements in terms of power, manoeuvrability and conditions that are more than appropriate for transporting injured or accident victims. Generally, the ambulances we encounter on a daily basis are powered by diesel engines, slow and almost unmanageable at “high” speeds.

But Brabus comes to fill the gap left in this type of vehicle and is preparing to show us an ambulance built on the base of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. As you can imagine, once Brabus finishes assembling this ambulance, we will find an unusual vehicle. More specifically, with a 5.5-litre V8 engine and four-wheel drive.

Brabus still has this vehicle under development, so we can add little more until it is finished. The idea is for it to be an appropriate vehicle not only for running, but for manoeuvring in difficult and inaccessible conditions and terrain; and the truth is that I would like Brabus not to take too long to release a video or at least more photos. For now, only a few photos silently bear witness to the new life this Sprinter will have, below.
