Mercedes Clase V Marco Polo Camper: Born to Travel

The new Mercedes-Benz Clase V Marco Polo Camper has been presented in two versions, although each of them can be used as a home away from home on holiday trips, where you can enjoy the comforts of a motorhome in a smaller space

Going on a trip is always a pleasure that should be enjoyed every year. We know it can be an expensive pleasure, but there are ways to make it less so. One of these is to get a vehicle in which we can travel and also sleep, saving us the cost of a hotel. If we can also cook in it, we also save on restaurant expenses, which makes everything more affordable and comfortable.

This is the spirit of the Mercedes Clase V Marco Polo Camper, a van designed to make holidays less expensive and within reach of everyone. It is a vehicle that has already been on the market for some time, combining the concept of a classic van and a caravan. A true home away from home that takes up less space than a motorhome, allowing four people to travel comfortably, and that includes a bedroom and a kitchen.

It measures 5,140 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width and 1,980 mm in height, which provides very adequate interior space for its functions. In the front area it has all the comforts one might expect from a Mercedes, so it also meets all the expectations placed on it. The rear has a kitchen area with cupboards and drawers, a fridge, a cabinet on the left side of the vehicle and a bench seat that converts into a bed.

In addition, the two front seats swivel so you can eat at the fold-out table fitted in the middle. The other two passengers can sleep in the bed that unfolds from the roof. As for engines, there are three options. The first is a 1.6-litre diesel engine with 88 or 115 CV and front-wheel drive, while the 2.1 diesel engine with outputs of 136, 163 or 198 CV comes with rear-wheel drive or, optionally, four-wheel drive.

There are two versions, the Marco Polo Clase V and the slightly simpler Marco Polo Activity. The former starts at 54,835 euros, while the latter has a starting price of 38,960 euros. We present them in this extensive gallery so you can see them clearly and choose how to spend your next holiday on wheels.
