Mercedes could be considering creating a direct rival for the BMW X6

With the BMW X6 we have a clear example of a vehicle that, at first, we all rejected, yet in real life a huge SUV can offer the same dynamic and driving characteristics as a Coupé, even though the rear of the latter has a line that is not quite as straight.

Even so, we all have to acknowledge the market that a vehicle like the BMW X6 once achieved, perhaps for now the only one represented in this segment, and which is bringing such good profits to the German brand with the blue propeller.

Well then, given this tremendous success, it is no surprise that brands such as Audi or Mercedes are interested in their own slice of the market by designing an exclusive model to compete with the BMW sporty SUV.

Because of this, today we have to talk about the Mercedes GLS, a vehicle that will be based on the same platform used by the new M-Class. What is more, according to expectations the Mercedes should offer a model that blends an M-Class with a new-generation Mercedes CLS, perhaps, for now, somewhat difficult to imagine, yet think of a hypothetical Mercedes GLS63 AMG, a direct rival to a beast like the BMW X6 M.
