The new Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé will be one of the most important world premieres at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS, as it is known in English). With its opening next Monday approaching, the German brand has released more news about the model, starting with the announcement of its most powerful version: the GLE 63 AMG Coupé.

Mercedes-Benz has not presented it with images, but with a fairly revealing teaser video in which, although the roar of its four-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine is not yet heard, it does highlight the most distinctive features that identify this variant. You can watch it at the end of this article.

The noticeable differences in the mercedes-benz-gle-63-amg-coupe2exterior consist of a specific grille, a bumper similar to that of other current AMG models with larger more voluminous air intakes, division emblems scattered across the exterior and cabin, chrome twin exhaust tips tucked beside a rear diffuser, AMG-style wheels of larger size, and new discs and brake calipers.

From the cabin, we see the sport steering wheel trimmed in leather with a flat lower edge, the dial for selecting the driving mode, and sport front seats with the AMG emblem on their backrests. In a few days Mercedes-Benz will share more details, including the technical specifications of the GLE 63 AMG Coupé.

Meanwhile, the manufacturer has also confirmed that the new SUV will hit the mercedes-benz-gle-jurassic-world (2)big screen in Jurassic World, the next installment of the Jurassic Park saga, which opens on June 12 this year. The characters played by actors Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt will drive a silver GLE 450 AMG Sport in the film, whose off-road capabilities were tested during filming in Hawaii and New Orleans.

The GLE Coupé will thus receive its dose of Hollywood promotion almost at the same time its sales begin in mid-2015. Mercedes-Benz has distributed three images of the mentioned GLE taken mid-shoot, but these do not yet allow us to deduce whether the SUV will have the same fate in Jurassic World as the ML [W163] did in The Lost World.
