Mercedes will feature two very interesting new additions at CES 2017

The CES 2017 continues to offer many interesting things related to the automotive world, and many brands are preparing their novelties to shine at this important consumer electronics event. Mercedes is one of the brands that will be present at this first major technology event of the year, with several very interesting and attractive proposals. The concept that Mercedes wants us to remember is CASE, that is, the acronym for Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Service and Electric Drive.

At the Las Vegas event, the German brand will present two concepts, the Concept EQ and the Vision Van, with which it will manage to be the center of attention for all eyes. In the case of the fully electric SUV, it wants to become the next rival of the Tesla Model X and the Audi Q8, so it must offer a series of features that will seek to position it within its range.

In the case of the Mercedes Vision Van, this is a vehicle that incorporates an electric drive system, but also a load management system for distribution. This software makes it possible to know which package is going to be delivered, brings it close to the operator and can even carry out the delivery in an automated way thanks to the two delivery drones it is equipped with. These can make deliveries within a 10 km radius from the van, which allows a very wide range of action.

According to Mercedes, the goal is to make the car the center of a platform that serves to promote alternative mobility, in addition to becoming a space that offers a digital experience. For the German brand, the car of the future must be the basis on which a connection to the network is established, fully autonomous and emission-free, with the added possibility of serving as a base for other complementary modes of mobility.

These models will also serve to show the solutions that Mercedes will offer regarding connectivity with the smart home and with other vehicles. An interesting offer that can be discovered at this technology event and that will possibly appear in future models of the brand.
