MINI Cabrio Sidewalk, a special edition with exclusive details and equipment
As is tradition at MINI, the Cabrio variant introduces a new special edition with exclusive interior and exterior details, named Sidewalk

Although it has only been a few days since winter began, some people are eager for the sun to start taking centre stage, as is the case with MINI, which is already giving us a preview of what awaits us next spring. Its proposal is the MINI Cabrio Sidewalk, a special edition in which exclusive colours and materials go hand in hand.
This is not the first time the name Sidewalk has accompanied the small convertible. In fact, it was first used on the first generation of the MINI Cabrio to distinguish a version that enhanced the driving pleasure of open-top motoring, a tradition the brand continued with the MINI Cabrio Highgate, the model that will be replaced by the new Cabrio Sidewalk. To make this model appealing to the most demanding buyers, MINI has included in its Cabrio Sidewalk numerous details that are specific to this special edition.

Starting with its exterior look, the MINI Cabrio Sidewalk features an exclusive paint called Deep Laguna in a metallic finish, created specifically to highlight the lines of this compact convertible, while the sporty character comes to the fore through the stripes on the bonnet, with edges in a more intense blue as contrast. This colour will be the main one and the one dedicated to this version, but should you not like it, Midnight Black, White Silver, Enigmatic Black, Moonwalk Grey and Thunder Grey, all in metallic, will also be available on request; regardless of the colour you choose, the mirror caps will be in the same shade.
Continuing with the exterior, the fabric roof also includes a specific design with white shapes which, incidentally, if it is the automatic version, will open or close in just 18 seconds. To finish the exterior styling, the MINI Cabrio Sidewalk fits Scissor Spoke 17-inch alloy wheels in a two-tone finish, with gloss black for the background and polished aluminium on the outer face, as well as side indicator trims that carry the “Sidewalk” name of this edition.

When we open its doors to get inside, aluminium trims bearing the “Sidewalk” legend welcome us, before we sit down in seats that feature exclusive trim. These seats are upholstered in anthracite leather, with piping in the same blue as the exterior stripes and contrasting stitching in Petrol and Energetic Yellow, colours that also appear in the stitching of the floor mats and the matching upholstered steering wheel; finally, there is the illuminated centre trim painted in Piano Black with contrasting Petrol and Silver detailing.
In addition to all of the above, the MINI Cabrio Sidewalk also comes as standard with features such as full LED front lighting (including fog lights), an interior lighting package, automatic climate control, MINI driving modes, a height-adjustable front passenger seat and a storage pack. Mechanically there are three petrol options, all TwinPower Turbo, consisting of the 1,500 cc three-cylinder engine with 102 CV, followed by the same engine with power raised to 136 CV and, finally, the four-cylinder with 192 CV reserved for the Cabrio S Sidewalk variant. All of them come as standard with a 6-speed manual gearbox, although a 7-speed dual-clutch Steptronic can optionally be fitted.
At the moment we do not know what the MINI Cabrio Sidewalk will cost in our country, although we will surely find out soon, since its market launch is scheduled for next March.
