More details on the Mazda MX-5

Last month we met the new Japanese convertible, so we did not expect to be surprised by what was shown in Paris, yet the novelties left us excited.
Two models will go on sale: a roadster coupé with a retractable hard top, and another with a soft top. Both versions offer a Jinba Ittai experience (translated as an incomparable unity between the car and the driver).
Another difference between the two models is the design of the front grille: while the Roadster features a mesh framed by a chrome trim, the other is somewhat more traditional.
The output of the 1.8 L and 2.0 L DOHC engines peaks thanks to the refinement of the 5- and 6-speed manual gearboxes, although with the six-speed Activematic automatic transmission performance is better managed.
Whichever MX-5 model is on the road it will not go unnoticed thanks to its beautiful design, regardless of whether it wears any of the following colours offered for sale in 2009: Aluminium Metallic (new), Metropolitan Grey Mica (new), Copper Red Mica, Stormy Blue Mica, True Red, Brilliant Black, Marble White (soft-top version only).
