Photos and details of the Lexus IS 250C

The most important novelty from the luxury division of Toyota in Paris is the convertible version of the IS, which will carry on the legacy left by the now-discontinued SC. Its successor comes in with a strong presence, with a very distinguished look, four seats, a three-piece retractable hard top with electric controls, and the refinement typical of the brand.
The roof holds the speed record for folding or unfolding, taking just 20 seconds to complete the operation. Compared with the IS saloon, the convertible differs at the rear, whose light clusters have a different design, and in dimensions, with 15 mm more at the front and 55 mm more at the rear. Its engine is the same 2.5i V6 with 208 hp paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox, and pending confirmation, in Europe we can expect the 220d.
Its interior enjoys the quality typical of Lexus, with high-end upholstery, plenty of buttons on the centre console, a Mark Levinson sound system with twelve speakers, or a climate control system with temperature control and roof status. The boot is also capable of storing golf bags with the roof stowed, so it does not lack space.
The IS 250C will go on sale next summer in Europe, and slightly earlier in the United States. A serious rival for the C70 and the 3 Series Cabrio.
