More functionality for Mercedes drivers with official roof boxes

One of the things that tends to help car owners is the option of fitting a roof box that increases the luggage capacity of the boot. Many models can take this accessory thanks to their roof bars. Now, Mercedes owners can use a new official roof box model for their vehicles.

The new roof box offered by Mercedes has a gloss black finish and is sold in two capacities. The first has a capacity of 430 litres, while the second option offers a capacity of 590 litres. Installation is very simple and is carried out using an integrated fixing system.

Both roof boxes are designed to match perfectly with Mercedes models and are compatible with all of the German brand’s roof bars. It has a very organic design with good aerodynamic behaviour. In addition, it has a very sporty look and follows the elegant line that is the brand’s hallmark.

To mark its belonging to the brand, it features the Mercedes logo in 3D at the front and rear. Opening is very simple thanks to the arms operated by a hydraulic system, which ensures it can be closed just as easily.

Fixing is carried out using the brand’s fixing system, which makes it unnecessary to use an adapter. It has a triple-locking mechanism on both sides, ensuring it will not open at any moment. In addition, there are three straps on the inside that serve to secure the load and keep it from shifting.

The material used to manufacture this roof box is resistant to ultraviolet rays and keeps its colour unchanged in the face of environmental aggression. It meets all safety requirements and the brand’s demanding quality standards. The M model, of 430 litres, weighs 24 kg, while the larger version, of 590 kg, weighs 28 kg. The load capacity of both is 75 kg. Of course, both roof boxes are exclusive to Mercedes models, so they are not available for other brands.
