Morgan is a brand that has been on the market for many years, and it is known for building truly spectacular cars. The Morgan Plus is a roadster that has been around for 70 years, so the brand wanted to pay a heartfelt tribute to this very distinctive car. But 2020 is also the year in which Morgan will stop manufacturing the steel chassis on which this model is built, so the tribute has also become a farewell to this car.

The Morgan Plus 4 70th Anniversary will mark the final chapter of an almost exclusive model that, in this last iteration, becomes a collector’s piece. There will be only 20 units of the model. And if you thought for a moment that you could have one of this special edition in your garage, I’m sorry. All the cars that will leave the factory have already been reserved.

The chassis of this special version is painted in gold, something new for the company, and a gold plate with the serial number of each unit. The bodywork is painted in Platinum Metallic with wheels with satin grey spokes, which reinforce the classic feel of the Morgan Plus 4 70th Anniversary, together with an exterior decorative pack in black.

The classic style also extends to the interior, where a Ravenwood wood panel and very carefully finished mats have been fitted. The steering wheel is finished in matt black Mota-Lita, while the gear lever and the inner door panels are upholstered in black leather.

As standard equipment, it features heated sports seats and other elements that raise the car’s status. Under the bonnet sits the same engine as in the Morgan Plus 4, but the software has been improved, so it is able to outperform them in power. The engine delivers 180 CV instead of the 156 CV offered by the regular model. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is set at under 7 seconds.

Each of these 20 units of the Morgan Plus 4 70th Anniversary costs £71,225 in the United Kingdom. With this special edition, the Morgan Plus 4 comes to an end, after 70 years of offering luxury, comfort and prestige.
