Navarra and Extremadura offer direct subsidies for the purchase of vehicles

The Autonomous Community of Extremadura and the Navarre regional government will offer direct subsidies for the purchase of vehicles. First it was the regional government with the Plan Renove Auto Navarra 2009, and now Extremadura has joined in with direct subsidies for the purchase of hybrid vehicles.

In the case of Navarre, the subsidies amount to 2,200 euros for the purchase of vehicles that do not exceed 100 g/km of CO₂, and 1,200 euros for those that do not exceed 140 g/km of CO₂. To qualify for these regional subsidies, you must hand in a used car that is over 10 years old or has more than 250,000 km.

In the case of Extremadura, the subsidies are only for the purchase of hybrid vehicles, and can reach up to 3,000 euros. The amount of the subsidy is 15% of the value of the car, provided its price does not exceed 28,000 euros. In this last case, the hybrid models currently on the Spanish market would be offered at a very attractive price, with the Honda Insight Luxury available from 16,830 euros, for example.
