New Audi Q5L, the brand's first long-wheelbase SUV
Audi has unveiled its first long-wheelbase SUV at the Beijing Motor Show. The so-called Audi Q5L is aimed at the Chinese market.
Two key factors have come together to shape the new Audi Q5L. The unstoppable commitment to SUVs has found a perfect ally in the growing importance of the Chinese market. And so Audi has unveiled its new model at the Beijing Motor Show: a long-wheelbase SUV that is aimed at the Asian market.

New Audi Q5L
The new SUV from Audi grows over the original Q5 to offer more interior space. In total, the wheelbase and overall length have increased by 88 mm to enlarge rear seat space, which adds 100 mm of extra legroom. Meanwhile, the boot can expand from 550 litres up to a maximum of 1,550 litres, depending on the seat position.
With the two engines on offer, Audi hopes to win over a market of growing importance, where the Q5 was already a sales success. The new Audi Q5L will now be available with two versions of the 2.0 TFSI engine, in addition to the quattro four-wheel-drive system and seven-speed S tronic gearbox fitted as standard.

The two available versions of the 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder engine produce 190 or 252 CV respectively. The more powerful version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, with consumption of 7.3 l/100 km and emissions of 174 g/km. Meanwhile, the 190 CV option reaches 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds, with 6.9 l/100 km consumption and 164 g/km emissions.
This model, which is built at the Changchun factory in China, will go on sale in summer 2018. Depending on the engine chosen, the Audi Q5L will be available in 5 trim levels (Vogue, Lifestyle, Design, Sport and Sport plus), each with different customisation options for design and technological and safety equipment.
