New diesel engine for the Fiat Linea

The Fiat Linea gets a diesel engine this January. The Italian saloon, measuring 4.5 m and based on the Fiat Grande Punto, now has a diesel powertrain better suited to its dimensions. Although it is still a “three-box” with a city car base, it offers considerable size and boot space.
The new engine is the 1.6 M-Jet with 105 CV, paired with a manual gearbox. The engine offers good performance, reaching 190 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 11 seconds. It also has a combined consumption of 4.5 l/100 km.
This engine is fitted to the Fiat Bravo with the “ECO” designation. In the case of the Fiat Linea, it will be available in two trim levels: Dynamic and Emotion. The starting price is €18,300 for the Dynamic and €19,300 for the Emotion, the top of the range.
