New engine for the DS5 in Spain

The flagship of the DS brand gets a new engine, which joins the range already on offer for this Premium saloon. It is the THP 210 S&S 6-speed petrol engine, which has also been available since this month and allows the model to deliver strong performance with very competitive consumption and emission figures. Not bad at all, and it makes the car even more efficient and appealing to potential buyers.

The new powertrain introduced in the range has a displacement of 1,598 cc and delivers 211 CV at 6,000 rpm, along with a maximum torque of 285 Nm at 1,750 rpm, reaching 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. With these figures, it has a top speed of 235 km/h, and all this with consumption that, according to the brand’s official data, does not exceed 6 litres per 100 km and emissions of 144 g/km.

This new engine is offered only in the DS5 Sport trim, optimised to offer a sportier and more dynamic look, placing the top of the brand’s range in a more attractive position for those seeking the reliability of this model in a more dynamic line-up. The DS5 Sport comes, like its siblings in the range, with a range of driver-assistance technologies, such as blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, active high beams, hill start assist, reversing camera and the Head-Up Display, which conveniently and effectively shows all route-related information.

It also features a new central touchscreen, which controls the radio and navigation system very intuitively so you never miss a moment of what you need to see. The DS 5 THP 210 S&S 6V Sport is priced at €38,200.
