New Mitsubishi Space Star
Mitsubishi renews the Space Star. The brand’s city car still retains many of the virtues of the previous generation, but with a refreshed exterior and interior look, plus more safety and technology features as standard equipment.

Mitsubishi renews the Space Star, the brand’s city car, with a new exterior look, improved engine performance and a more refined and elaborate interior. The Los Angeles Auto Show was the stage chosen by the brand to unveil the new model.
It still retains the virtues of the previous generation: fuel economy and good value for money in terms of price versus equipment. The exterior features a new grille, a fresher and younger front end, new front and rear bumpers, a rear spoiler and new wheel designs.
Fuel efficiency is achieved, in addition to a revised engine, through a drag coefficient (Cx) of 0.27. The low overall weight also contributes greatly, as the new Space Star weighs 845 kg.

The exterior is not the only aspect that has been improved; the interior also features a more refined, practical and elegant cabin. It incorporates new seat fabrics, an updated instrument cluster and a multifunction steering wheel with integrated controls. It can accommodate five occupants and its boot offers 235 litres of space.
The engine used in the new Mitsubishi Space Star is the 1.2-litre unit producing 80 CV of power. It features a variable valve timing system that maximises fuel efficiency and vehicle power while minimising exhaust emissions.
It now comes with more safety and technology features. Notable among them are the front, curtain and driver’s knee airbags, ABS brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist, tyre pressure monitoring, and traction and stability control.
In Spain, the new Mitsubishi Space Star will go on sale in March 2016.
