New SEAT Toledo in sight

Lately little or nothing is known for certain about the future of SEAT, and even less about the imminent future of the new models that are on their way. In fact, it would not be the first time that the supposed arrival of a model’s successor was made official, only to be later denied.
That being the case, unless it is made official in the form of a press release by the brand, it is best not to believe anything, especially the news that comes to us today from the newspaper Cinco Días, which talks about the successor to the Toledo, a vehicle that is reportedly scheduled for autumn 2012.

Could this information be true? I wouldn’t dare to say YES or NO, since it may be partly true. On one hand, we have a brand that is obliged by Volkswagen to hold the top sales position in its home country, and for that it absolutely needs to update its vehicle lineup.
On the other hand, we have certain statements from Vicente Adrián, director of SEAT Spain, who stated that in 2012 only two of the brand’s most popular versions would be renewed. Namely, the reintroduction of the Arosa, built on the same platform used by the Volkswagen Up! and the aforementioned Toledo.
As for this last model, still not officially confirmed, rather than a differentiated model, I would personally bet on a new version of the new León, that is, a version very similar to the Ibiza ST but created from the León.
