New Ssangyong Rodius: subtle restyling for the MPV

Ssangyong Rodius, the best-selling model in Spain for the South Korean manufacturer, gets a renewal with a front design more in line with the rest of its range.

The Ssangyong Rodius, which arrived in Spain in 2005, features a new front design. The South Korean brand is renewing its historically best-selling model in our country. Since its arrival in our borders, the Asian manufacturer has sold more than 19,000 units. Now, with a more modern design, it aims to bring its look closer to the rest of its vehicle range.

A subtle redesign

The new Rodius features a new bonnet, grille and front bumper design. Ssangyong aims in this way to balance the design line of all its models, with a more current and striking front appearance. In addition, the South Korean brand has redesigned the front headlights. This change includes LED position and daytime running lights.

On its arrival in Spain, one of the strong points of this vehicle was its large size and capacity to carry large amounts of luggage. The MPV aims to preserve the comfort and space during the journey that have always characterised it. With seating capacity for seven passengers. The Ssangyong Rodius has a boot capacity of 875 litres. In addition, when necessary, the rear seats fold down. In this way, we can extend its maximum load capacity to 1,975 litres.

The Asian manufacturer has launched a total of three versions of this MPV: Line, Premium and Limited. The first of them is available from 26,100 euros, the Premium version from 28,600 euros and the last of them from 32,600 euros. However, the Ssangyong Rodius can also be purchased with a seven-speed sequential automatic gearbox, which raises its price to 31,400 euros. Alternatively, you can opt for four-wheel drive, paying a total of 36,450 euros for the car.

Regarding its powertrain, the new Rodius features a 178 CV engine with 400 Nm of torque.

Finally, the South Korean brand offers in our country a 500 euro discount for large families who are members of the Spanish Federation of Large Families. The models that enjoy this discount are the Ssangyong Rodius, Rexton and XLV.
