Nissan Ariya Single Seater, the strangest concept with the Ariya's electric powertrain

We already have a lot of information about the Nissan Ariya, a model from the Japanese manufacturer that will soon arrive in Europe, with a starting price of just over 40,000 euros. But the brand has wanted to give it a different image and evoke intense sensations. So they have taken the model’s electric powertrain and placed it in a single-seater chassis built for competition.

This is the Nissan Ariya Single Seater, a unique concept that aims to demonstrate the driving capabilities of the Ariya. A concept based on the Timeless Japanese Futurism design language, combined with a single-seater chassis created specifically for this project.

The front features a V-shaped light signature that marks the presence of the car. The wheels have aerodynamic covers, both front and rear. The suspension elements are also visible, and the body colour is one of those available on the road version of the Ariya.

The body has been made entirely of carbon fibre, and its design draws on all the experience gained in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The result is quite spectacular and will show that the technology applied to an electric SUV can transfer easily to the track.

In addition, all the data obtained in the manufacturing and testing of this unique model can also help improve the handling and performance of commercial electric vehicles. The look of the electric prototype, which as I have already mentioned previews the Timeless Japanese Futurism design language, is based on the concepts shun, meaning running fast and effortlessly, and sho, meaning flying with power and grace.

According to the brand, these concepts have allowed them to capture that essence and bring to a vehicle a sense of speed, time and art.
