It is obvious that Nissan’s 100% electric model is not getting the market reception the brand expected. Undoubtedly, one of the reasons that makes it difficult to reach acceptable sales levels is the high price customers have to pay.

If this handicap is added to the reduction or elimination of incentives for buying an electric vehicle, the difficulties in reaching the targets are even greater. Aware of this, Nissan has reduced the price of the Leaf in its three main markets: Europe, Japan and the United States.

The reduction amounts to 3,000 euros, so the Nissan Leaf will now be available for around 33,900 euros. However, the facilities don’t end here, as access to financing has also been improved. Thus, the Nissan LEAF can be purchased with a monthly payment of 299 euros, thanks to a guaranteed residual value set at 16,055 €. Customers who want to benefit from this offer must pay a deposit of 11,777 €. After the 3-year period, the customer can choose between returning the vehicle to Nissan to exchange it for a new Nissan LEAF or another model from the brand, or refinancing the final payment.

Let us recall that the Nissan Leaf features a compact electric motor located at the front of the vehicle that transmits its power to the front wheels. This powertrain delivers 80 kW of power, equivalent to about 109 CV, while the torque reaches 280 Nm. In terms of performance, its top speed is 145 km/h with a range of 175 km. Its batteries are lithium-ion and take about eight hours to charge from a conventional socket. If it is connected to a fast charging point, it will take half an hour to reach 80% of its capacity.
