The new 100% electric van from Nissan is about to reach the Spanish market, covering this segment of commercial vehicles that still needs something to consolidate itself. The Nissan e-NV200 keeps the configuration and capacity of the internal combustion engine versions but with a reduction in costs of maintenance and, above all, of fuel of 40% compared to these.

In terms of load capacity, the electric version keeps the 4.2 cubic metres of capacity and, like the others, will be available with two or five seats. The two-seat version will have a load capacity of 750 kg and will be available with three or five doors. There will be a Combi model that will include a second row of seats, and the one intended for passenger transport will be named Evalia.

The battery can offer a range of around 170 km under normal driving conditions, which according to the information provided by the brand is sufficient for 70% of transport operators in urban areas, who cover around 100 km per working day. The charging issue can be solved thanks to the 108 fast-charging points CHAdeMO that exist in various Spanish cities and that will be gradually expanded in the coming months.

These fast chargers allow charging of up to 80% of the battery capacity in just 30 minutes, so they can be very useful. The charging cost can be around 1 or 2 euros per 100 km, depending on the electricity tariff applied, so it is considerably cheaper than traditional fuel.

The price of the Nissan e-NV200 starts at 13,665 euros, once the discounts of the MOVELE 2014 Plan are applied, and the battery rental amounts to 73 euros per month, although you can opt to buy the van with the battery included. In that case the price rises to 18,540 euros, although the buyer saves the monthly expense.
