Nissan Juke-R 2.0: 600 CV at Goodwood

The fifth anniversary of the launch of the Nissan Juke is the main motivation behind the Japanese manufacturer’s decision to launch this new tuned version with an extra turn of the screw on its mechanics. The most powerful crossover in the world, the Juke-R 2.0 will make its appearance from June 26 to 28 at the Goodwood Festival, with LMP1 driver and GT Academy winner Jann Mardenborough at the controls.
Back in 2011, the Juke-R became a true benchmark in the compact SUV segment, being able to combine the bodywork of the Nissan Juke with the technical innovation of the chassis and the mechanics of the GT-R. Commemorating the fifth year of life of the Nissan compact crossover, the Juke-R 2.0 shows us what it is capable of thanks to the improvements implemented by NISMO on the GT-R, which allow power delivery to be improved by more than 50 CV, as well as a complete aerodynamic kit for the Japanese sports car.

In terms of styling, the Juke-R 2.0 barely changes from the original. It features new bumpers with integrated LED daytime running lights, redesigned upper headlights, new mirrors with integrated turn signals, a renewed rear light cluster and a new set of wheels taken from the Nissan GT-R. Inside, two bucket seats give way to a safety cage that replaces the rear seats. The cabin gives up any component characteristic of a standard vehicle in favour of a competition-style interior.
Under the bonnet, as we have already announced, the 3.8-litre V6 engine of the GT-R makes its appearance. The 600 CV and 652 Nm provided by a twin-turbo system allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 315 km/h. Although these figures belong to Godzilla, given this background, we will wait to find out what the Nissan Juke-R 2.0 is capable of.
