Nissan LEAF10, the special edition celebrating a decade of success
Celebrating 10 years since Nissan first embraced electric mobility, a commemorative edition of its flagship has been launched under the name Nissan LEAF10
There is no doubt that the Nissan LEAF is and will remain one of the pioneers in what we today know as electric mobility. The introduction, expansion and settling of a culture of using electric cars would not be the same without this car.
In fact, our esteemed reader will allow me the liberty of inviting you on a journey through time and noting that the Nissan LEAF of 2011 was the first electric car I got into, drove and enjoyed, so, looking back in both sight and memory, the first units of the first generation of the vehicle that opened the doors to a repertoire of electric cars from other brands and other segments or purposes arriving in Spain takes me back a decade in my personal chronology.
Be that as it may, these 10 years of history, both personal and, above all, of the vehicle at hand, are recognised by Nissan, so that the brand’s compact electric car pays tribute to its predecessors through the special edition Nissan LEAF10.
Nissan LEAF10, a car of 10
And indeed this exponent Nissan LEAF10 offers well-deserved recognition of the track record of a vehicle that, despite its longevity, its mid-cycle refresh of the second generation and the growing rivalry with other electric brands and models, stubbornly holds a place of merit among the best-selling electric cars.
Something that, judging by the production and marketing of the tenth anniversary commemorative series of the Nissan LEAF, we are certain will further consolidate the ever-contested positioning of this car.
To that end, the trim of the Nissan LEAF celebrating the decade of life of the original stands out from the rest of the range thanks to an exclusive body appearance, distinctive specific details and greater technological equipment for comfort, interior space and safety.
Inspired by the Nissan ARIYA, the roof of this vehicle features an intricate pattern that also adorns the rear-view mirrors and the boot. The exterior look of the compact is personalised through four two-tone paint combinations: Black, Pearl White, Katana Grey and Grey, all of them always combined with the aforementioned roof in a Kumiko configuration.
The distinguishing marks of this edition are placed at strategic points on the bodywork, allowing these examples from this commemorative edition to be told apart from the rest. To complete the equipment and exterior finish, the Nissan LEAF10 comes as standard with a set of 17-inch alloy wheels.
As for the interior, occupants of this electric car will have an integrated wifi access point, which will allow connectivity for up to seven devices from the vehicle.
Using the NissanConnect Services app on smartphones, users of this tenth anniversary special edition of the Nissan LEAF can carry out remote tasks for vehicle information and analysis, such as monitoring charge status, pre-conditioning the cabin temperature before use, locking or unlocking the doors, as well as alerts for movement or for exceeding a preset speed limit.
This exclusive equipment also includes intelligent blind-spot control, in order to enhance the safety of both the passengers of this Nissan LEAF 10th anniversary and of the other vehicles it interacts with.
This special edition of the Nissan LEAF10 will be available at dealerships from mid-February of this same month, and it has been announced that the price of the Nissan LEAF10 will start at 29,300 euros, placing it at an RRP close to that of the most complete trims and, therefore, the most expensive.
