Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has revealed that it still had an ace up its sleeve: an improved version of the Nissan Skyline, the Nissan Skyline NISMO and the Skyline NISMO Limited. The company, famous for its dedication to engineering and design excellence, and which less than a week ago unveiled the Nissan Z NISMO, is preparing to launch these two automotive titans in the Japanese market.

Standing as the crown jewel of the Skyline GT family, the Skyline NISMO is a masterpiece of precision and power. This sports saloon of elite status has been limited to just 1,000 units, once again becoming a coveted treasure for speed enthusiasts. Launch is scheduled for next summer, when the ordering process will be announced on the same day as the launch.

However, the special Skyline NISMO Limited edition will have just 100 units scheduled for production, making this vehicle a true showcase of automotive craftsmanship. The launch date is set for next summer, and its special design commemorates the 60th anniversary of the iconic Skyline GT S54A-1.

420 CV and an exclusive design

What makes the Skyline NISMO an object of desire for car lovers? At the heart of its power is an engine tuned by the best engineers, the same ones who tuned the incredible GT500 competition engine. Maximum power rises impressively, from 405 CV (298 kW) to 420 CV (309 kW), while maximum torque goes up from 475 Nm to 550 Nm.

Beyond raw power, engineering merges with aesthetics. The aerodynamic design and chassis technology inspired by racetracks combine to create an exceptional driving experience. The low, wide stance of the Skyline NISMO is paired with 19-inch Enkei aluminium wheels, which not only improve steering response but also increase road contact. The adjusted suspension and stabilisers ensure the vehicle stays firm through every curve and turn.

The interior is no less impressive, featuring high-quality fit and finish, creating a first-class driving environment. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and features a distinctive red central marking for NISMO. The Recaro sports seats, with a red central stripe, are upholstered in suede upholstery. With elements such as the windscreen adhesive taken from the iconic Nissan GT-R NISMO, every detail of the Skyline NISMO has been tuned for performance.

However, its performance is most enhanced in the Skyline NISMO Limited version. This special model not only represents the culmination of 60 years of automotive excellence, but also honours the craftsmanship behind every engine. The company has chosen to showcase this by giving each unit a takumi plate, symbolising the master craftsman responsible for the individual assembly of the engine. An exclusive serial plate and a unique emblem complete the commemorative design of this incredible vehicle.

As these models prepare to conquer Japanese roads, it is clear that Nissan remains a leader in the pursuit of automotive perfection.
