Nissan uses the Force to promote Star Wars at the Los Angeles Auto Show
The Japanese manufacturer has teamed up with Lucasfilm to promote the new Star Wars film with modifications made to several customized cars

The new Star Wars movie is just around the corner: Star Wars: The Last Jedi. And you may be wondering what the latest chapter of the galactic saga has to do with the automotive world. Well, Lucasfilm and Nissan, the Japanese carmaker, decided to bring the two together by creating several concept cars based on the popular film franchise, which they unveiled at the Californian event being held these days.
These are show cars and are not for sale, much to the disappointment of the many fans in the United States, but they have certainly drawn attention to the Nissan models that will be present at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The models in question are the Altima, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Maxima and Titan, which are sold in the United States and are quite well known there. They have been dressed in a special design dedicated to the characters and elements that appear in the film, as you can see in the image gallery.

The Nissan Altima has been modified to represent the combat fighters of the First Order, so it features a matte black and red colour scheme, customized wheels and speakers that recreate the sounds of the villains’ spacecraft from the film.

The Nissan Maxima, meanwhile, has received three transformations. The first is based on Kylo Ren, the trilogy’s main villain, while the second recreates his combat ship. The elements used make them easily recognisable and clearly identify them as dedicated to these characters. The third Maxima changes style completely, as it is based on Captain Phasma and her distinctive armour.

The Nissan Rogue has been disguised as Poe Dameron’s X-Wing fighter, one of the saga’s new heroes, while the Rogue Sport has been treated to become an A-Wing fighter, both with all the elements that define them in the film. Finally, the Nissan Titan, a pick-up, has been converted into an AT-M6, one of those walking tanks that give the soldiers of the Galactic Republic so much trouble.
These cars have been a huge hit at the Los Angeles show and have become the focus of visitors’ attention, according to reports from Carscoops. Wouldn’t you like to drive one of these fantastic, galactic cars?
