Noble, the British company specializing in manufacturing supercars, has just announced that production and the first deliveries of a new model, the Noble M500, will begin in 2002. This comes after the brand declared back in 2018 that it was looking to offer a model below the M600, while keeping the spirit of that car.

The M500 seeks to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, but positioned slightly below it. To do so, it gives up the original V8 engine Volvo and is equipped with the 3.5-litre V6 engine manufactured by Ford. With this, the new supercar offers 500 CV, although through various modifications the brand plans to increase the final output to 550 CV by the time it is ready for the road.

This is not a car equipped with the latest safety technology, as it will have no airbags or anti-lock brakes. It is not designed to win major competitions, but it does aim to deliver a good driving experience. In fact, this model uses a six-speed manual transmission signed by Graziano.

As with the Noble M600, this new model will feature double-wishbone suspension with coil springs and passive dampers. Steering will be assisted by a hydraulic system. According to Noble’s managing director, the driving experience will be very similar to that offered by the other model.

The bodywork aims to reduce costs, so it will do without more eye-catching elements. It will be made of fibreglass, which ensures greater lightness. However, the possibility of including carbon fibre parts is also being considered, which would improve the quality of the finish and the strength of the model. Since it has no ADAS elements or other add-ons, the weight is expected to remain at around 1,250 kg.

This model will be capable of reaching 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, which is not bad at all, and its top speed will be 320 km/h. The price is set at around 180,000 euros and production is planned at 50 units per year.
