Madrid 360 adds the Invicta Electric Metro to its gardening services
Madrid’s municipal gardening services have added nine units of the Invicta Electro Metro, an electric vehicle designed to improve their service.

The incorporation of sustainable vehicles is one of the goals that Spanish city councils are achieving. Replacing combustion-engine vehicles in municipal services is essential, and little by little these vehicles are being used to meet those sustainable mobility needs. The Madrid city council has added nine units of the Invicta Electric Metro for its municipal gardening service.
With these vehicles, others that, due to their characteristics, are not suitable for driving through central Madrid will be eliminated. They are electric, functional, and fully capable of performing the service for which they were designed without any major issues. This model is an electric van available in several formats, including the pick-up with cab, the variant chosen for this Madrid service.

A small, practical electric vehicle
The model has a length of 3.69 metres and a width of 1.4 metres. These dimensions allow it to move with considerable freedom along the narrow paths of parks and gardens. The loading area has 3.95 cubic metres and can carry up to 500 kg. These figures allow it to handle with great efficiency all the tasks it faces day to day.

As for range, the model is available with several battery packs: 26 kWh, with a range of up to 240 km; 20 kWh with up to 175 km; and 13 kWh, with a range of up to 130 km, all on the WLTP cycle. For the Madrid city council’s gardening service, the version with the 26 kWh battery and 240 km of range has been chosen.
The chassis is lightweight, with steel crossmembers, while the bodywork is made of reinforced ABS plastic. It features independent suspension on both axles, rear-wheel drive and a low centre of gravity, thanks to the placement of the batteries under the loading platform. The cab seats two people and has high-strength steel reinforcement points to increase rigidity and improve safety in the event of a collision.
The onboard technology allows the installation of systems that maintain control over the fleet, track in real time how each vehicle is performing and where it is, and plan maintenance to keep each vehicle out of service for as little time as possible. It features a seven-inch screen with rear camera. Air conditioning, on the other hand, is an optional extra.
The Invicta Electric Metro was designed and developed in France and is assembled in countries including the United States, the Netherlands, Germany and China. It has a starting price of 13,745 euros and is a very suitable solution for urban services.
