Not a joke, nor a production model: BMW confirms there will be no BMW M3 pick-up
Many of us felt our hearts sink -and not with excitement, precisely- when Christian showed us the BMW M3 pick-up casually cruising around the Nurburgring, which made us fear the worst, or an early arrival of April Fools’ Day.
But there’s no need to panic. BMW has stepped in to address the general outcry and has declared that this BMW, although it exists and is not a photoshop, is not a future model from the brand, but simply an internal project of the M division, something that will never be produced and won’t keep us up at night any longer.
But I wonder what is meant by “internal project”. Perhaps it’s a personal project of some of the guys at BMW, because it would normally be expected that an internal project would have official backing from BMW. What is certain is that it is one of the strangest ways to carry out an internal project, with part of the real camouflage the brand uses for its Nurburgring runs.
