The new Honda CR-V makes its debut in Spain

The fourth generation of the well-known Honda CR-V (which our test team put through its paces in Munich) will go on sale in Spain next November, and has been officially presented by the Marketing and Communications department of the brand’s Spanish representation.

During the presentation event, it was noted that the CR-V is one of the most important models for Honda in our market, as it accounts for 40% of total Honda sales in the domestic market. The presentation then went over the details of its design, the range of engines and its prices for our country.

With new bumpers and aerodynamic improvements, the Honda CR-V sold in our country will be manufactured at the British plant in Swindon. Among other changes, a improvement in space and visibility, as well as ergonomics for occupants has also been highlighted.

The engine range with which the fourth generation CR-V will initially be offered in Spain will consist of two engines, one diesel and one petrol. The diesel will be the 2.2-litre i-DTEC engine with 150 CV, while the petrol unit, which can be combined with 4×2 traction, will be the 2-litre i-VTEC with 155 CV.

The CR-V’s new features are plentiful: among them, the automatic folding system for the rear seats, engine start button with Entry system or power tailgate stand out. In terms of safety, the CR-V also adopts the collision prevention and mitigation system, automatic lights, whiplash mitigation system and lane keeping assist.

Prices start at 27,200 euros for the entry-level petrol variant in the range, and 41,900 euros for the diesel in Innova trim. The automatic gearbox will carry a surcharge ranging from 2,000 euros with the petrol engine to 3,000 euros with the diesel engine.
