Official: Jaguar will produce the Project 7

Project-7

Jaguar, together with SVO (Special Vehicle Operations), is officially up and running and intends to begin production of the Project 7 next spring.

This is one of the most powerful and fastest vehicles Jaguar has ever created, but it also suggests that they have seriously considered their plans to create special limited-edition collectibles, since Jaguar will be backed by SVO, which is the brand’s special vehicle division, just like Mercedes with AMG or BMW with its “M” division, but with a touch of British madness.

Project-7-(2)

The Project 7 is an aluminum-bodied roadster celebrating Jaguar’s seven Le Mans victories between 1951 and 1990, which debuted last year at the Goodwood Speed Festival.

Its supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine produces 550 CV and 680 Nm, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 300 km/h.

It also features a calibrated sport suspension, an electronic rear differential and a free-flow exhaust, plus new front and rear anti-roll bars, with its damping 50 percent stiffer at the front for greater agility.

The Project 7 will be available in five colors: black, white, green, red and blue. Although final demand is still being assessed, the company says it will produce up to 250 units, knowing that customers will be disappointed to miss out on this very special car.

Finally, all that’s left is its price, which is expected to cost around 170,000€, so hurry up or you’ll miss out on this beauty.
