Olympian Model 01: An electric classic? Take a look at this homage
If you thought classic models were already past their prime, Olympian Motors is launching a saloon with a retro-themed body and fully electric power

In a car market saturated with futuristic and avant-garde designs, a new company based in New York has decided to challenge established conventions. Founded in 2021, the firm aims to revolutionise the automotive industry by focusing on aesthetics and quality of execution above all else. Its first project, the Olympian Model 01, is ready to take orders in the US market, offering a breath of fresh air for those who long for a touch of nostalgia in their electric vehicles.
The Model 01 is a homage to classic automobiles from the early twentieth century, with elegant lines and distinctive shapes that evoke the nostalgia of a bygone era. From its rounded LED-technology headlights to its triangular grille and iconic wire-spoke wheels, every detail has been meticulously designed to capture the essence of the automotive style of yesteryear. The two-tone paint and aerodynamic silhouette add a touch of modernity, while the rear of the vehicle recalls iconic models with its distinctive teardrop shape and vertical tail lights.

Beneath its elegant bodywork, the Model 01 has a robust chassis designed to offer an optimal level of rigidity and safety. Built with carbon fibre and titanium reinforcements, this vehicle is designed to withstand any impact with grace and style. Inside, safety and minimalism are the main priorities. Unlike conventional models, the Model 01 eliminates 80% of the buttons in favour of a voice control system and an innovative Head-Up Display. The round instrument dials add a touch of vintage charm, transporting occupants to a past era of elegance and sophistication.
In terms of performance, the Olympian Model 01 is powered by a 310 CV electric motor and 414 Nm of torque, providing a smooth yet powerful driving experience. Despite being a saloon of considerable size, at 4.96 metres long and weighing 2,045 kg, the Model 01 manages to reach 96 km/h in just 5.7 seconds, with a top speed of 257 km/h. Equipped with a lithium-ion battery of 82 kWh (in the four-door version) or 48 kWh (in the two-door version), the Model 01 offers an impressive range of up to 491 kilometres under ideal conditions.

When it comes to charging, the Model 01 is compatible with alternating current chargers of up to 11 kW and direct current fast chargers of up to 125 kW. Currently available exclusively in the US market, the Model 01 is open to reservations with a $500 deposit, with a final price of $80,000. Although this price may seem high, it represents an investment in exclusivity and style that will surely be appreciated by classic car enthusiasts and lovers of electric technology.
