408 Peugeot Hybrid Cars Compact
New Peugeot 408 Hybrid with 48 V mild hybrid engine from €33,200
The iconic fastback is reinvented with MHEV technology for superior performance that is also environmentally responsible

The Peugeot 408 is one of those models in the C segment that have yet to find a place in the market. That is why, in a further commitment to electrifying its range, Peugeot has launched the Peugeot 408 Hybrid, a compact car that, as we have already mentioned, belongs to the C segment and features a sporty and elegant fastback design.
The hybrid version of the Peugeot 408 will be available from €33,200 in the Allure trim, €36,950 in the GT, or for a monthly payment of €265. It comes with a new 136 hp MHEV engine and a e-DCS6 dual-clutch gearbox. Stellantis has decided to fit the Peugeot with the mechanics of the platform we have already seen in other Stellantis Group models such as the Citroën C5 Aircross or the Peugeot 208. This combination delivers an exciting driving experience, with an electric-mode range of up to 1 kilometre at low speeds, ideal for urban journeys.

1.2 Hybrid Engine
The 48 V hybrid technology not only ensures low consumption and reduced emissions, but also improves the vehicle’s performance. The 21 kW electric motor provides an additional boost to the PureTech petrol engine, improving acceleration and offering a unique driving pleasure. In addition, the side-mounted electric motor, integrated into the gearbox, ensures smooth gear changes and simple maintenance.
With the new engine, the Peugeot 408 has a top speed of 211 km/h and an average consumption of 5.1 L/100 km, and yes, it carries the much-acclaimed ECO environmental label from the DGT.

At the top of the PEUGEOT 408 range are the Plug-in Hybrid options, with outputs of 225 hp and 180 hp respectively, plus the new 136 hp Hybrid version. A PureTech 130 petrol engine is also offered. A fully electric variant will soon be added to the PEUGEOT 408 line-up.
A striking, elegant and sporty design
The exterior design of the PEUGEOT 408 Hybrid reflects its dynamic and robust character, with elements inspired by SUVs, such as the 720 mm wheels and 20” alloy wheels. The vehicle’s light signature, with Full LED Matrix Beam headlights and 3D LED rear lights, adds a touch of distinction and safety for night-time driving.

Inside, the PEUGEOT 408 offers a comfortable and functional space, with generous interior room and a 536-litre boot expandable to 1,611 litres with the rear seats folded down. High-quality finishes, such as the exclusive Alcantara® and aluminium details, add a touch of elegance and sportiness to the cabin.
Technology also plays a leading role in the PEUGEOT 408, with the advanced PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® driving position and a wide range of driver assistance features, such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function and the Night Vision system.
