OMODA and JAECOO continue to triumph, adding up to 60,000 vehicles sold in Spain
The OMODA and JAECOO brands, which are owned by the Chery Group, arrived in Spain in 2023 and have managed to establish themselves as important brands in our market.

Several recently arrived brands in the Spanish market have become relevant to drivers in our country. Two of these brands are sold together and have become benchmarks for our market. OMODA and JAECOO are two brands coming from China which, although they have been on our market for a very short time, have turned their models into some of the most sought-after by buyers.
It is interesting to see how the number of vehicles from both brands has grown since 2023, when they arrived on the Spanish market. That year saw the sale of a first batch of 173 units. In 2024, 8,885 units were sold, and in 2025 23,691 registered units were reached.

In 2026, 27,854 vehicles from these two brands have already been registered. A milestone that means this year will comfortably surpass the number of units registered the previous year. The Spanish market has received the brand’s vehicles very well, with a presence led by the province of Soria, holding 10.4% of market share.
Other provinces where OMODA and JAECOO have a presence include Álava, Almería, Ávila, Badajoz, Castellón, Cuenca, León and La Rioja. They are also among the five brands with the most registrations in the Balearic Islands, Burgos, Cáceres, Ciudad Real, Guadalajara, Tarragona and Teruel.

VENTAS OMODA Y JAECOO 2026
The electrified versions have been the most chosen by users, who opt for vehicles using the Super Hybrid System (SHS) technology. Between January and August 2026, hybrid and plug-in hybrid models equipped with this system have accounted for 87% of sales of the two brands.
By model, the best seller has been the OMODA 5, which has registered 30,305 units. The rest of the models have trailed well behind this entry-level model, and the next most important is the JAECOO 7, with 13,402 units. As for drivetrains, in 2023 most were petrol, although in 2026 hybrids lead, with 52.8% of registered sales, and plug-in hybrids, which account for 34.3% of sales.
With these figures, we will see how sales this year will grow considerably and leave the door open for 2027 to be an even more positive year for the brands in Spain.
