Only the Opel Corsa-e is capable of doing it
The Opel Corsa-e is about to land at Spanish dealerships, and the lightning-bolt brand has unveiled a novelty that only the electric version has.
The German car is going through a fine stage of its life. It debuted its sixth generation a few months ago, and everything seemed to be improvements over its previous version. But the current trend in the automotive world (leaving SUVs aside) tends toward electrified cars. Some brands are going hybrid to achieve affordable environmental labels.

But Opel has gone further with its Corsa. The Corsa-e is one of the most anticipated models from the PSA Group for this first quarter. It cannot be driven yet, since it will arrive next March, but it is already on sale at a starting price of close to €30,000.
Only the Opel Corsa-e can do it
The Germans’ goal is to give their new models more privileges. If, on top of that, the model is electric, the priority increases. Under the yoke of those who hate everything related to electricity, Opel seeks to highlight the positives and advantages of getting a 100% electric car.

The new “MyOpel” app will allow you to climate-control the interior of the city car before we start driving. Even before we are in the car. From home, while we get ready. From this app you can control the temperature of both the heating and the air conditioning while we get dressed and the car is in the garage.
Countless times we have gotten into our cars in summer to find the seats, the steering wheel and the cabin in general at impractical temperatures. With this, Opel wants its customer, when they get in the car, to find the ideal and appropriate temperature for starting the journey. The same happens in winter, when on many occasions we have to scrape the windscreen or put the heating on full blast so as not to freeze to death while we start the engine.

With this new function, from home we will be able to adjust the temperature as we go. Opel claims that in a scenario where the outside temperature is 20ºC below zero, within 45 minutes the car will be conditioned and ready to drive. This wonderful feature of Opel will only be available on the 100% electric Corsa. It will not be available on any of the combustion versions.
And finally, it is worth mentioning that this function has another positive point. If the car is charging while we activate this preconditioning function, the battery will not be affected. That is, when we take the car to set off, the on-board computer will show 100% of the range, that is, 337 km.
