¿Opel Adam OPC? Spy photos

¿180 horsepower or perhaps more? The truth is that rumours of the Opel Adam OPC have been circulating for months, but nobody has been able to shed much light on the matter. However, we may have new clues that Opel is preparing something special for the Adam, which could well be the long-awaited OPC version.

Opel has decided to give the Adam more prominence, with new customisation accessories that will be presented in Frankfurt. But if we pay attention to the spy photos that have circulated on the web, we can say with confidence that if it’s not the OPC version that Opel is testing, it’s coming very close.

A sportier test Opel Adam was photographed in Germany with modifications to the front bumper (an additional air intake), specific wheels and blue brake calipers. We cannot say for certain whether it is the OPC, but the ground clearance has visibly been reduced and the bumpers appear slightly larger. However, it does not feature any of the styling accessories of the current OPC models, so it could also be a GSI or Sport version.

Of what is known so far, very little. Only the 180 horsepower we mentioned at the beginning, a possible 1.4-litre turbo engine and the likely rivalry with the Mini Cooper S, the Abarth 500 or the Audi A1 TFSI.
