Opel O-Team Zafira Life: the new companion of Team A

The Opel O-Team Zafira Life is the MPV that Team A would choose if it had to return to service, with an imposing look that makes it clear it means business.

Team A is one of those TV series we all remember and that, moreover, has endured to this day. Perhaps the reason was how colourful its characters were, or the “good vibes” they gave off even when they found themselves in the most complicated situations.

The famous group was led by John “Hannibal” Smith, a brilliant strategist whose most iconic line was “I love it when a plan comes together” while smoking a fine cigar. Murdock and Face were the other two members of this group of former soldiers turned mercenaries.

However, the most famous member, and the first one that comes to mind when thinking of Team A, is B.A., a 3-door wardrobe with unmatched charisma. Yet just as famous as this character has been the vehicle they used for their operations: a brutal 1983 GMC Vandura in black and red with a 5.2-litre V8 engine and 240 hp.

Let’s imagine that these veterans had to return to their operations today: their vintage taste in clothing and habits is all well and good, but with the current price of petrol, giving the GMC’s eight cylinders a drink could become Team A’s worst nightmare.

That’s why they would have to swap the GMC Vandura for something more modern, while still preserving all the essence of the spectacular muscle van. For this reason, no model could adapt better than the new Opel O-Team Zafira Life.

The Opel O-Team Zafira Life is Team A’s new ally

The lightning bolt brand has taken the new Opel Zafira Life and given it a few cosmetic tweaks to keep the style of the original van, while adapting it to today’s needs.

The black and red colours have been replaced by dark blue, white and a fluorescent yellow. Plus, there’s no shortage of vinyl on the windows, the huge roof spoiler (purely aesthetic in function), large alloy wheels and front bars. Thanks to all this, the Opel Zafira O-Team would be the ideal new companion for Team A.

Inside, we find two sports seats in the front, so driver and passenger can stay focused on the mission without leaving their seats. As for the second and third rows, occupants can enjoy two swivel seats in leather and Alcantara, so interrogations in the Opel O-Team Zafira Life can be as comfortable as possible.

As it could not be otherwise, this very special van has been built in Germany, so it is fully approved by TÜV. That means we may soon see more versions like this one, at least aimed at the German market. If not, we can buy a Opel Zafira Life with the attractive Irmscher package.

We don’t know whether Opel’s plans include a limited run of this Opel O-Team Zafira Life, but it would be fun to drive the kids to school in an MPV with 20-inch wheels, a roof spoiler and fluorescent yellow accents. You’d only need a gold chain around your neck like the one B.A. wore, and we guarantee the teachers won’t have any problem giving your child top marks.
