Pagani Utopia Roadster, the convertible supercar that will be shown at Monterey

One of the most anticipated events in the automotive world is the Monterey Car Week. It is not a typical event, with brands presenting the cars that will reach the market shortly. What you see there are supercars and very special cars that are the dream of many drivers. One of the cars that can be seen at this event in 2024 is the Pagani Utopia Roadster.

This two-seater supercar is designed to reach everyone and awaken the desire to drive it. It is made of carbon fibre, so although the bodywork has been painted Habanero Red, it lets you see the decorative details of this material in several areas of the exterior.

The Pagani Utopia Roadster is the convertible version of the coupé, which came before this variant. Only 99 units of the coupé will be built and it will cost 2.17 million euros, but the Roadster is planned to be built in 130 units, so it may take a little longer for all of them to sell.

Its exterior appearance is identical to the coupé, with headlights of the same design and position, as are the rear lights. The four-outlet exhaust is placed in the centre of the rear, so it also serves as the base for the rear spoiler. The chassis made of carbotitanium it uses is the same in both cases, as are many other elements present in both variants.

The external wing mirrors are made of carbon fibre and the alloy wheels are forged. These measure 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear.

The interior is upholstered in leather, which on the seats features a pattern specially designed for the model. The seats have been made to provide an extra degree of comfort and ease. Elegance and luxury come together in this car for the driver to enjoy.

Engine

If the image is spectacular and the cabin is luxurious and comfortable, the engine does not fall behind. The engine is developed by AMG and is a twin-turbo V12 block delivering 864 CV. The transmission was developed by the Italian brand: a seven-speed manual gearbox and an optional automatic gearbox.

For now, only one unit has been built, which is the one that will be shown at the American event. Later, the other 129 will arrive, and it will not be long before they pass into the hands of the lucky buyers who decide to take one.
